WEAKNESSES: Everything about Akinari is a weakness. His mental, physical, and emotional health are all the pits. He's resigned to his fate and doesn't have very much optimism left inside of him, which is understandable considering that every day that he wakes up is a miracle.
STRENGTHS: He'd like to think that storytelling is a strength of his, seeing as finishing his book is his final wish. If anything, he has a talent for observation. Maybe it's because he wants to know as much of the world as possible before the end, but he pays close attention to his surroundings and those in it.

PERSONALITY: Unfortunately, the best word to describe Akinari is... depressing. He's lost in a state of perpetual sadness, as he doesn't see many rays of happiness. Even so, he can appreciate the littler things in life; in fact, he somewhat sees it as his duty to do so. After all, everyone else is too busy living important lives to stop and pay attention to such things.
Still, if there's one thing he appreciates it's someone willing to listen. He'll talk to anyone, but if you don't agree with his views, he might not be so fond of you. But even Akinari is not completely hopeless, no matter how much he wants to believe he is. If you say the right things to him, even he starts to yearn for just a bit more.

The truth of it was that Akinari was unsaveable.
He was born with an extremely weak body, and his condition worsened from there. His family spent fortunes trying to cure him, but they soon gave up on that, settling for ways to maintain and prolong his dwindling life.
Akinari, however, soon became used to being pitied every where he went, and the whispered conversations behind the doors with how little he had left to live and how expensive he was. He came to hate it, and early on spent his time alone, expanding the rift between him and his family.
At loss what to do, Akinari tried his best to do the things healthy people would, but his attempts were futile and left him much more frustrated. He spend his time in the house reading or writing out his thoughts, finding it was the only thing he could do in such a state.
Recently, however, his death nearing becoming more apparent and the medicines and shots having no helpful effect on him, Akinari has taken to wandering around outside or just not taking his medicine. He was going to die any day now anyway, so why spend his little time drugged up? But it didn't really matter; when you died, that was it.
Akinari never had a choice.
